Educational Technology 1 course is concerned with the orientation of us, students with educational technology whereas Educational Technology 2 course is concerned with integrating technology into teaching and learning.
Since we are already oriented with educational technology, we just need to reinforce, supplement and extend the knowledge and skills so that we can become exemplary users of educational technology. And that is part of the role of ET 2.
Talking about integration, it is the process of combining two or more things. Integrating technology into Teaching and Learning woupd mean involving technology in the educative process. In that way, technology and education would go or help hand in hand in order to facilitate learning and to give convenience to the students as well as the teachers.
Educational Technology 2 is not just about promoting computer skills, rather it is primarily directed at enhancing teaching as well as learning through technology integration. ET 2 is laid out to infuse technology in our training as future teachers, helping us to adapt and meet the rapid and continuing technogical changes specifically in the ICT or Information and Communication Technology environment. This course is of great use not just to us but as well as to those involved in the teaching-learning process. This will be a great contributing factor in the improvement of curriculum.
