Lesson 1 : A Review of Educational Technology

The Educational Technology 1 course has indeed paved the way for us, learners to become aware, appreciative and equipped to use educational tools. "Orientation" is the keyword for Educational Technology 1. Through that course, we were oriented towards averting the dangers of dehumanization which technology brings into societies. We were also oriented about Dale's cone of eperience and how to set appropriate learning experiences related to the learning objectives set. So with the application of Educational technology to instruction and in the teaching-learning process.

The computer which is considered as the third revolution in education was also well-introduced. Speaking of revolution in education, the first revolution in education is the invention of printing press, second is the establishments of libraries and the third (as I've stated a while ago) is the computer.
But then why are these three considered as revolutions in education? Before answering that question, let me share a quote stated by our teacher. He stated that: "To be educated is to be informed". All the three revolutions of education are agents of information as well as education. The manner of relaying information is made faster ranging from the first revolution (printing press) to the third revolution (the computer).
As a future educator, I'm very much excited to take a great part on the next revolutions in education to come...
